Auto-publish — every 12 hours, hands-free
How it works: whenever the ledger is open and 12+ hours have passed since the last publish, a sanitized snapshot (public stats only — never the encrypted ledger, never your password) is pushed to your server, and the proof page updates. Requires publish.php and proof.html on your server — see the deploy notes.

Model settings
Cloud vault — encrypted sync
The vault stores the same AES-256 ciphertext that lives in this browser — the server can never read it. If this browser is wiped or you switch devices, use Restore from cloud on the lock screen with your vault URL, token, and password. On unlock, the app also pulls the vault if it's newer than the local copy (multi-device, last write wins).
Backups
Backups are encrypted with your password — unreadable without it. The CSV export is plain text; treat it accordingly. Live data auto-saves to this browser, encrypted, on every change.
Security
AES-256-GCM encryption; your password derives the key (PBKDF2, 200k rounds) and is never stored. Auto-lock engages after 5 minutes idle. If you forget the password, the data is gone — no recovery, by design.
